Properties of scents, colors & stones

A while ago we were asked about how to make a room a haven, or safe place where one could go to meditate, relax, etc, and know that spirits couldn't bother them unless they wanted to be disturbed. The process in outlined in the How to make a Haven article. There it mentions the use of candles and incense to strengthen the process. Below are the properties of selected incense, oils, stones and candle colors.

Oils

Allspice- Rubbed on the feet and chest, this is to add strength to one's will power.

Bergamot- Wear on the palm of each hand to protect from all harm.
Calamus- To get another to do your bidding, rub some on your palms and touch the person.
Chrysanthemum- To increase ones strength.
Coffee- Has healing properties when added to the bath water.
Dogwood- Rub on the outside of doorknobs so that evil will not be able to enter.
Hollyberry- For women who wish to be treated royally by their lovers.
Melon- Arouses passions, adds strength, energy and virility in men.
Mistletoe- For attracting customers, developing business when used in your place of business.
Musk- A love oil whose scent is used to arouse ones passion and heighten sexual pleasure.
Myrrh- A powerful guard against any evil directed toward one.
Orange- A highly magnetic oil used to bring on a proposal of marriage.
Peach- Apply to yourself or sprinkle in the home to bring quiet and tranquility to your life.
Pennyroyal- Used to remove evil and jinx from the home when sprinkled about the premises.
Rue (Ruda)- Worn to protect one from hexes set out by others.
Sandalwood- A powerful healing oil, also thought to increase clairvoyant powers.
Spearmint- A protective oil which keeps one's home and self safe from attack, danger and intruders.
Spikenard- Used to anoint the altar, consecrate incense burners and to purify the premises.
Tangerine- Adds strength and go power to all ritual incense and baths.
Verbena- To remove curses put on you, for protection.
Vetivert- Overcomes any spell that may be put upon you.
Watermelon- Adds extra strength that may be needed from time to time when applied after bath.
