Am I a Vampyre?
First of all, ignore those tests where you answer questions and than add up a score. Next, I would recommend reading "What is Vampirism?" and "Myths vs Reality". However, the
truth of the matter is, to really know if you are a Vampire or not requires you to find another Vampire. This is not an easy task. Read "Finding Other Vampires" for advice on that. Unfortunately, this is not a sure thing. Not all Vampires will recognize other Vampires. Why? Sometimes Vampires in the 'sleeping' or Latent state are difficult to detect because
their energies are locked down and their Vampire side has not yet manifested fully. 'Can you tell if I'm are Vampire by the symptoms I email you?' It is really difficult to be able
to tell if some one is a Vampire or not over the internet. Anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong. You can have all the symptoms and still not be a Vampire. Thirsting for blood
doesn't necessarily make you a Vampire either. You really have to choose to be one, to want it with all your heart as well as manifest the symptoms. Inside you will feel like this
is the right thing for you, and that perhaps you finally belong. Ultimately the only sure what to tell is to have another Vampire sense that you are one.
It has been brought to my attention that there are sites, boards, etc out there claiming that only you can know if you are a Vampyre or not, that no one else can tell you. Lets us
ponder the immence flaw in this logic, shall we? Assume for a moment that this logic is correct. Following this logic one could think themselves the Queen or King of a country and
it would be so. One could think themselves anything they wanted and so long as this was what they felt/believed themselves to be, it would be true. This is some seriously flawed
logic. Just because you believe something doesn't make it the truth. This should be obvious to everyone with half a brain; but apparently it's not. It seems that once some people
start believing in the supernatural or things that were once considered fantasy they have a hard time drawing the line between fact and fiction. While we encourage people to be
open minded you should take care not to be so open minded that your brains fall out. Not everything that is mentioned in fictional books, stories, songs, etc are true; just as not
everything that there are myths about are true.
Finally, in case this is still not clear, DO NOT email us with your symptoms, or your life's story and ask us if you are a Vampyre. First of all we don't have the time to sift through
these types of emails to get to the ones that deserve answering. Secondly, as we have already told you, we cannot tell you over the internet. Don't waste our time. Please keep in
mind that being a Vampyre doesn't solve all your problems or make life easier. The bottom line is that in order to be happy one must accept themselves for who they are instead of
wishing to be something else.
